Murron is born on February 3rd 2003 from Tsjika, a champagne mink Tonkinese cat and Bartje, a seal point male Siamese and she's my brother Mark's cat. In the beginning she was a scared bundle, but that has changed luckily. She is a proper rascal and very hard to catch. Playing with Arwen is a great pastime and after some trouble they get along just fine. Murron has a very different character than Arwen, very independant. Just like Arwen she visits the boys often, in order to keep them acquainted.

In March Adsila came as a companion for Murron. Adsila has been at my brother Mark's home for several weeks now. Unfortunately the first confrontation between Murron and Adsila wasn't a success at all. Murron attacked Adsila and these two have been apart since. We will try to get Murron adjusted to the kittens, therefore she is temporarily staying at Mark's upstairs neighbour. The idea is to slowly reintroduce Murron after two months to Mark's home, Murron will then be in a bench to get to know Adsila when there is supervision and live with Frank, the upstairs neighbour at other times. We hope to get them adjusted.

Murron is very afraid of the kittens (Yelin, Adsila, Pikatchu, Gennaro), slowly adjusting her to them in the bench did not help, she's still afraid. We also tried having her on a leash in the room (she hated the bench, would turn it upside down to get out), it didn't help either. The other kittens are very curious and would come close to Murron, and then suddenly Murron would attack them. Adsila and Yelin taunt her as well, and since Pikatchu witnessed an attack of Murron he gives Murron a very different treatment. Where he normally is very sweet and friendly to other cats (even strange cats), he will hiss and growl at Murron now. Murron is obviously not happy, that is why we have decided to neuter her. We hope that when all those hormones are gone (she's taking birth controll pills because otherwise she'd be in heat every other week) Murron will start to feel better. Of course we will still have to wait how it all works out and if she will get used to the other cats (she still adores Osiris by the way and likes Basha too), but if we don't try we will never know.
