Gloriana is a Blue Point Siamese of Cattery las joyas Thai from North-Germany. I have always been a big fan of blue points, so you can imagine how happy I am to have one of my own. I am very honoured that her breeder, Brigitte Sierck, wanted to sell me a girl for breeding, she normally does not do this. By coincidence Gloriana's brother Gennaro was available when I came for Gloriana and he was the only male in the litter that wasn't castrated. Brigitte is very happy he went with me. Gloriana's mother is las joyas Thai Chinita mi Corazon, a Blue Point Siamese and her father is Solomio Sir Paul, a Seal Point Siamese from the UK. The journey to north Germany was long, I therefore went there on Friday, stayes in a hotel and on Saterday went to Brigitte. The journey home again was long as well, both kittens slept most of the time. When I arrived in Rotterdam, Gennaro went home with my mother, where he'll be Pikatchu's new best friend. Gloriana spent her first night with me in my bedroom. Of course everything was strange to her, and Arwen yelling in front of the door didn't help. But today she's alright, she's with me right now and sleeping between my arms, her head resting on my left arm, which I can hardly move. She's a sweetheart, can purr as the best, and is very talkative. Her fur is very smooth and the structure very good, she is built elegantly. Of course nog as "elegant" as modern Siamese are today, but that's not what I want anyway. Her paws are almost as big as Anarinya's paws, only with a blue gray colour...
After a month Gloriana and Anarinya are equals and best of friends. I am very glad with it, well most of the time. When they chase eachother they usually throw stuff on the floor, that's no fun for me. I had nice orderly stacks of essays I had to read, the girls can turn that into a sea of paper in no time. This week one of the chairs was put in such a way that Gloriana managed to jump on my red cabinet. I had to know, she threw about everything that I put on top of the cabinet on the floor, a candle holder, cards, Shiwa's last photo and a little statue I got when I graduated, all on the floor. The statue did not survive the fall, it lost an arm and a head.... Gloriana is a very affectionate girl, I just love it. She wants to be on my lap constantly, Arwen does not agree, and she will turn her purringdevice on when you just touch her. And she feels so lovely, very smooth. She's an enormous pleasure, I don't regret having her for a moment!
July 2004 Gloriana is still a very sweet and loving girl. Her fur is darker than that of her brother Gennaro, but she is so sweet that I don't care. She isn't afraid of anything, a very good quality. Last week some mechanics were in my house to repair a radiator and my little blue girl went to them for expection immediately. The other girls rather stayed in the bedroom sleeping. Gloriana thought those big shoes were also very interesting and it did not take her long to charm those men into loving her. She is a very big charmer, and very talkative, just like her brother. She makes working behind the computer a bit difficult at times, sitting in front of the screen or on top of the keyboard, but I can live with it....
