Kitten Diary E-litter

Monday 28th November 2005 Photos (bad quality) added to the personal pages.

Thursday 8th December 2005 Three weeks already, and a lot more active those E's. Last week mother Anarinya had decided to move the kittens from the birth box to a big drawer under the guestbed. As a faithfull servant I made the drawer very comfortable for the family. Being a bit older, they are beginning to go on small adventures in the drawer (it is 1 meter by 1 meter approximately), staggering about and beginning to play. Very unstable and clumsy, but adorable. I'm a lot more certain about their colours as well, like I suspected last week they are seal point and chocolate point. I also added some photos to their personal pages, again bad quality. It is a lot more difficult to make good quality photos with the weather outside right now. In summer the light from the sun is so much brighter which results in better photos, like from my B and C litter. Now the sun sets early and with the rain it is very grey during the day as well. Besides, it is quite a challenge to take photograps with only two arms, one hand holding a kitten, the other holding the camera ;-)

Tuesday 13th December 2005 Since past weekend the E's have started eating solid food. I could tell from Anarinya's condition that nursing them was getting harder for her, so to relieve her I am feeding them as well. And they like it, the little ones are suckling/eating the solid food (like boiled chicken, finely grounded, and paté-like wet food) with taste. I still have to offer it to them (hold it under their noses) but once they have tasted it, they eat it off the plate. It's doing wonders for their weights of course. Today they made their first solid stools, without mother cleaning it up for them, so potty (aka litterbox) training has already begun. It is surprising how big their stools are already, and I do not blame Anarinya for not wanting to clean it up (eating it up) anymore ;-)

Thursday 29th December 2005 Again I added new photos to the kittens' personal pages. They are very active, enterprising and naughty, a wonderful lot. They eat canned food (but they also love boiled chicken) and even start on dry kibbles, even the big ones mommy eats. In between some play-fighting, climbin the piramid, get some washing from auntie Gloriana, having a tasty dessert from mother and taking naps near the central heating.

Tuesday 17th January 2006 First Vaccination of the E's!
